About Us

Mike Gaudaur
In ninth grade I discovered that my high school had a darkroom. That very day, as I watched an image appear in the developing tray I was hooked. For Christmas that year all I wanted was a camera. The second hand Minolta SLR I received was the perfect tool for me to start learning the craft of photography. Within months I was selling sports action shots to my classmates. By eleventh grade I was a regular contributor to our local newspaper, and the the photo editor of the school yearbook. Before graduating I was already being asked to photograph weddings and shoot portraits. Upon graduation I set out to spend a year exploring Europe and the Middle East with my camera.
Photography was a great part time job, but it did not yet seem right as a career, so I trained as a teacher. Throughout college and my first ten years of teaching I continued to shoot weddings, portraits, and sports. It was only after taking a teaching position in Kenya that wildlife and landscape photography became a passion. Within a year I was teaching high school photography and graphic design classes, eventually heading up the school’s Graphic Arts Department. After 15 years in Kenya I returned to my hometown of Trenton, Ontario and opened my own photo studio in the restored carriage house of a 180 year old stone farmhouse. Since 2013 I have been putting a lifetime of photography knowledge to work serving the Quinte area with photography and fine art printing and framing services.

Nick White
For Nick, lifelong passion for nature, wildlife and stunning photographs lends itself to a life now spent pursuing wildlife and capturing those unique and raw moments. Born and raised in Prince Edward County, Ontario, he spends his time exploring, hiking, and camping both locally and abroad, becoming entrenched in the landscape and nature around him. He strives through his images to tell the authentic story of flora and fauna, and to inspire others to invest their time into becoming stewards of the natural world.
Nick’s first camera was picked up at a young age, and was never put down, rather just replaced along the way. He considers himself a lifelong learner, always embarking on a new adventure or career, in search of unique experiences and opportunities to create images. If there has been one constant in his life, it’s that he never goes anywhere without his camera.
Nick packed his bags and left Ontario for Scotland for three wonderful years where he took in as many wild experiences as he could, and developed a deep understanding of Scotland’s wildlife. Feeling that he left nothing on the table, he is beyond excited to be back photographing the amazing animals that caused him to fall in love with nature during his youth. If asked, he would tell you that it brings him great joy to share his images and the stories that accompany them to anyone who takes the time to look and listen.
